Valerio Gaeti / X 2024 ... la vita é sicuramente rotonda

 

Valerio Gaeti was born in Guidizzolo (Mantua) in 1951. At a very young age he moved to Cantù, where he attended the State Art Institute and had Giuliano Vangi as one of his teachers. In 1974, he completed his art studies at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts with Alik Cavaliere.

"la vita é sicuramente rotonda" (Life is definitely round), is a quote by Vincent Van Gogh from which Valerio Gaeti playfully creates a linocut, referring to the cyclical nature of life and its wholeness.
The roundness suggests cycles, like those of life: day and night, the changing of the seasons or the natural progression of birth and death. In life, along with these cycles come experiences, emotions or challenges that are repeated and remind us that everything is connected.

Valerio Gaeti è nato a Guidizzolo (Mantova) nel 1951. Giovanissimo si è trasferito a Cantù,  dove ha frequentato l’’Istituto Statale d’Arte e ha avuto tra gli insegnanti Giuliano Vangi. Nel 1974 ha concluso gli studi artistici all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera con Alik Cavaliere. 

“La vita è sicuramente rotonda”, è una citazione di Vincent Van Gogh da cui Valerio Gaeti crea giocosamente una linoleografia, in riferimento alla natura ciclica della vita e alla sua interezza.

La rotondità suggerisce cicli, come quelli della vita: il giorno e la notte, l'alternarsi delle stagioni o la naturale progressione di nascita e morte. Nella vita insieme a questi questi cicli si muovono esperienze, emozioni o sfide che si ripetono e ci ricordano che tutto è collegato.

Valerio Gaeti wurde 1951 in Guidizzolo (Mantua) geboren. Schon in jungen Jahren zog er nach Cantù, wo er das Staatliche Kunstinstitut besuchte und unter anderem von Giuliano Vangi unterrichtet wurde. 1974 schloss er sein Kunststudium an der Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera bei Alik Cavaliere ab.

„Das Leben ist gewiss rund“ ist ein Zitat von Vincent Van Gogh, das Valerio Gaeti spielerisch in eine Linolschnittgrafik umsetzt – als Verweis auf die zyklische Natur des Lebens und dessen Ganzheit. Die Rundheit deutet auf Kreisläufe hin, wie sie das Leben prägen: Tag und Nacht, der Wechsel der Jahreszeiten oder der natürliche Ablauf von Geburt und Tod. Innerhalb dieser Kreisläufe bewegen sich Erfahrungen, Emotionen oder Herausforderungen, die sich wiederholen und uns daran erinnern, dass alles miteinander verbunden ist.
